Such a waste of time playing with such an idiot Computer...

Played Spades 30 years ago and found it impossible to find players here in France. Now at least I can keep sharp until the day I find a real game...

This version of spades is quite good, despite the inflexibility (and capriciousness) of its scoring rules. There is absolutely no indication or logic given for when the opportunity to bid a "blind-nil" will be offered, and the penalty imposed for overtricks (moronically named "bags") is draconian, and interferes with proper trick-taking strategy. The strength of the computer players is fairly good, except when any player has bid "nil", in which case the computer opponents often go down in flames. This apps only major defect has nothing to do with the game itself: occasionally the software (or server) jams when fetching an ad prior to starting up. When this happens, one is left staring at the "Optime" logo indefinitely.

The game is very good but the partner is lousy. Wish we could choose the partner we want instead of being stuck with a dud.
